We’re in Sync

USA Synchro and the United States Synchronized Swimming Foundation:
We’re in Sync

USA Synchronized Swimming and the U.S. Synchronized Swimming Foundation are thrilled to announce that we have joined forces to collaboratively raise funds and guarantee a bright future for the sport of synchronized swimming.

In time for Giving Tuesday, and in the spirit of this partnership, we’ll be announcing by video, a fundraising campaign we’re calling: We’re in sync.

Why collaborate?

Because much like the sport itself, we know what can be accomplished when we lean on the power of a team. Working together, we will better support our athletes at every level, while standing behind our National Team on its Olympic journey.

“This is an opportunity to align for the betterment of the sport,” said Karen Rosolowski, president of The United States Synchronized Swimming Foundation. “We can accomplish more by working together, and honor and support the athletes, coaches, and officials that make this sport a great influence on the lives of young people.”

Adds USA Synchro CEO, Adam Andrasko, “This is a huge step forward for the sport of synchronized swimming. It is not only about the tremendous impact our efforts will create, but also the willingness to work together. We all want what is best for synchro in our country and this collaboration is very exciting. We are very proud of the work the Foundation has done since 1984, and the work it is doing now to step up fundraising and make our sport even better.”

A little history

In 1984, the Board of Governors of USA Synchro voted to establish the US Synchronized Swimming Foundation to manage the $1.1 million that was allocated by the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee following the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.  The Foundation is a supporting organization of USA Synchro, and exists to support grassroots development; educational opportunities for coaches, athletes, and officials; and the development of synchronized swimming in the U.S.

Since 1984, the US Synchronized Swimming Foundation has safeguarded and grown the funds to $2.7 million, and has given grants annually, totaling $2.4 million, to support the growth and development of synchronized swimming, from national programs to grassroots efforts, across the country.

USA Synchro has also worked to fundraise in support of all areas of its organization and has been successful in many ways.

Today’s announcement is a result of both organizations realizing that they could do even more for the sport by working closely together on an integrated fundraising strategy and effort.

Look out for a special announcement to follow, with how you can support us during Giving Tuesday and ongoing. Get started by donating at here.

Sincerely.
